Honored in Italy for centuries, this painting has a long record of many remarkable favors obtained through its veneration. It was given by the artist who painted it to Venerable Isabel Fornari (1697-1744), Abbess of the Convent of Poor Clares in the city of Todi. She received a special promise from Our Lady for all those who venerate this picture.
